Does it hurt?  The disposable needles used for Cosmetic acupuncture on the face are very small, fine and almost hair-like. There is very little sensation when needled and only an occasional mild stinging sensation. The whole experience can be very relaxing. How many treatments?This is left up to you. You may decide to have four or five treatments at first in order to judge the effect. You may choose to have a few treatments prior to a special occasion or regular treatments throughout the year. For an effect that can last up to three or four years, a programme of 12 treatments is recommended.
